Beginning in mid-2007, the Iraq History Project (IHP) launched a radio program entitled “Testimony” presenting selected IHP narratives in Arabic on Radio Dijal and in Kurdish on Radio Nawa. The program offers a unique opportunity for Iraqis to listen to the testimonies of their fellow citizens.

The 3-month series consists of twelve weekly shows. Each show presents a brief overview of the IHP, an introduction to a weekly theme, and the presentation of two or three testimonies of violations committed during the prior regime. The testimonies are read by actors and actresses who present the stories of victims, their families, witnesses and perpetrators. The radio programs conclude with a call-in segment, allowing the public to respond to the show.
